Dear Mr Kaplan,
Thank you for your book of poems
I am writing to you on behalf of us all, for the gift that you so kindly sent to us.
Anna finds the poems very exciting and has expressed that she is impressed with your work.
Christina is also impresses with the poems and both Anna and Christina have jointly decided to donate the book to Christina’s College Library, once they have read the whole of your book a couple of times, for others to appreciate your fine work.
Unfortunately, as a mathematician I am not as appreciative of poems, so accept my apologies for not being able to be as complimentary as my wife and daughter have been about your book as my knowledge of the subject is very minimal.
Again thank you very much for your book and I trust I will see you soon.
